We handle septic tank installation in Leiper's Fork, TN, an unincorporated rural village in western Williamson County. It sits less than 10 miles northwest of our base in Thompson's Station. Most of the village shares ZIP 37064 with Franklin, and the Natchez Trace Parkway forms its northern boundary. Hillsboro School stands on Pinewood Road, inside that ZIP. The village is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district. Williamson County's plan for the village counts about 650 people on about 1,100 acres. That plan, adopted in 2011, says sewer service is not available for the village. It says parcels are served by on-site septic systems. It names traditional septic systems as the only form of wastewater treatment there. So a new home in Leiper's Fork is planned around its own septic system and the soil under it.
Septic Superior is a family septic company based in Thompson's Station. There are more than 20 years of septic work in Williamson County behind the company. In Leiper's Fork, our crew handles septic system installation for new homes and full replacement of failed systems. We also take on septic tank repair for cracked tanks, baffles, effluent filters and backups. We file the permit and handle it start to finish. Emergency septic service is available. Every estimate is free and done on site: we look at the lot and hand you one price.

Natchez Trace travelers called the settlement around the Benton homestead Bentontown, and over time it came to be called Hillsboro. In 1818 a post office opened and took the name Leiper's Fork, for the stream that runs through the village. The old name lives on in the H.B. and T.S. Utility District, which supplies the village's water. The letters stand for Hillsboro, Burwood and Thompson's Station. Its main pipes run along Old Hillsboro Road. Because of the hills and valleys, the district says most homes need pressure regulators.
Wastewater is a different story in the county's plan. It says the geology varies greatly, so some parcels do not have adequate soils for new or upgraded systems. It adds that the lack of suitable soils has slowed growth there. For one village business, an engineering firm designed a low pressure pipe system sized for 2,000 gallons per day. It runs 4,500 linear feet of lateral lines. A septic inspection shows how a home's tank and field are holding up, and our crew handles drain field repair.
Septic permits for Leiper's Fork come from Williamson County's own Department of Sewage Disposal Management in Franklin. Williamson is one of nine Tennessee contract counties, and it runs its own septic program. The county decides the system type on its permit. We coordinate the soil evaluation and file the permit as part of every install. Under county rules, a conventional system needs at least 36 inches of natural soil over bedrock or a water table.
The county's plan places the village on the edge of the Western Highland Rim, with some slopes over 35 percent. Most of that steep ground sits on the northern border, north of Old Hillsboro Road. Slopes over 30 percent are unsuitable for conventional and low pressure pipe systems under county rules. For drip systems, the limit is 35 percent. South of that road the ground is flatter, but it holds a flood zone. A field also stays at least 25 feet from streams, sinkholes, drainageways and cut banks.
